The truth is versatile
put it on, take it off
an attire, a piece, and thus,
there is no naked truth.
No nakedness in things
and such, not much skin for show.
Truth without the substance
is not even reality. Now, that—
that is naked, always obscene,
indecent (incandescent),
hard to face.
The truth is fabric, pick your color
and the thread and style that suits best.
There it is! See, how pretty on the model.
Trueness is a dress people like to wear
out, so that their secrets and private minds
are never seen, covered up to the crown
in the cloth of truth, ever proper and poised.
Naked truths are lies, but naked realities are
truths so far removed from the eyes of many
that to see even a hint—
a hint of realness—is far too naked
to be properly addressed.
